Origin: Africa The use and meaning of Fang masks has not been studied. A number of distinct types is known; all tend to be elongated with heart shaped faces. There are references to a society called Ngi which acts to preserve the social order by eradicating evils such as witchcraft. Done with black background and highlighted dichroic and trim colors. 12x33 on 10x10 Plexiglas stand. This mask is magic! To accentuate the black I have layered violet and rainbow dichroic glass. To set off the dichroic I did custom poured colors to repeat the dichroic colors. It is a wonderful bouquet of colors. This one of my Signature Styles
